Dr Ian Campbell

Dr Ian Campbell is a contemporary Vascular and Endovascular surgeon with extensive training in Open and Endovascular Surgery.

Ian has an particular interest in the management of the following conditions:

  • Varicose Veins
  • Deep Vein Thrombosis & Superficial Thrombosis
  • Aortic Aneurysms
  • Lower Limb and Aortic/Iliac Arterial Disease
  • Diabetic Foot Disease
  • Carotid Stenosis
  • Renal access including fistula creation and maintenance
  • Wound care

Dr Campbell was born and raised on a farm in Bundaberg and completed his secondary education at North Bundaberg State High School. Dr Campbell completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) through James Cook University (JCU). Ian also completed a Master of Public and Tropical Medicine (MPH&TM) through JCU and a Postgraduate Diploma of Surgical Anatomy (PGDipSurgAnat) through the University of Otago, New Zealand.

Dr Campbell completed his Vascular Surgery training though tertiary facilities including Royal Brisbane Hospital, The Townsville Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital and Wellington Hospital in New Zealand. He completed an additional Fellowship at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Dr Ian Campbell continues to work at the Princess Alexandra Hospital as a Visiting Medical Officer and has admissions rights to Greenslopes, Wesley, St Andrews and Sunnybank Private Hospitals.
