Dr Naeem Khan
Specialist in General Surgery
Dr Naeem Khan is a General Surgeon and Gastrointestinal Endoscopist with a special interest in laparascopic gall bladder, colorectal and hernia surgery, as well as in HAL-RAR and staple haemorrhoidectomy. Dr Khan is also certified to perform Colonoscopy & Gastroscopy and is a part of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia.

- Laparoscopic gallbladder surgery
- laparoscopic hernia surgery
- skin cancers and melanomas, lipomas and cysts
- pilonidal sinus and perianal fistula disease

- abdominoplasty – post weight loss surgery
- Ingrown nails
Dr Khan obtained his English Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians in 2000 and has also worked as a General Surgeon in South Africa, especially with managing trauma and advanced surgical conditions. He has since also completed a further five years of advanced surgical training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital which is the centre of excellence for surgical training in Australia.
He has successfully completed post graduate training in Brisbane Queensland Australia and obtained fellowship in General Surgery (FRACS) in 2011. His other qualifications include:
- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
- Fellows of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS)
- General Registration with Medical Board of Queensland
Since 2011 Dr Khan has been working as a consultant surgeon and has performed hundreds of advanced laparoscopic abdominal procedures.
He is a surgical lecturer at the University of Queensland and a regular tutor for junior doctors and international medical graduates. In his spare time he enjoys running and playing cricket as well as spending time with his family.
